What we brewed was a robust yet smooth ale. One with a dense, sweet malt bill and a slightly hoppy aroma. One that would come to be known across the country as Rickard’s Red.
With a crisper carbonation to set it apart from traditional Irish beers, Rickard’s Red is brewed with a unique blend of three different malted barleys to provide its distinctive malt sweetness and signature ruby colour. Its subtle hop character adds balance and depth to the sweet malt notes of candied cherry, making our Red perfect for those looking for a brew with a little more character.
